About the Office of Library Services...
The Role of the OLS
The Office of Library Services at the CUNY Central Office is under the leadership of Alexandra W. Logue, Executive Vice Chancellor and University Provost. The OLS supports the libraries at the University's nineteen campuses so they may better serve their students and faculty.
The OLS staff, headed by University Librarian Curtis Kendrick, works with campus librarians to coordinate and enhance library services. The Office provides the University with CUNY+ (our online catalog), negotiates University-wide contracts and licenses for electronic databases, and subsidizes the CUNY Digital Library Collection, commercial document delivery and courtesy discharge services.
The Office collects and analyzes data on library collections and services, writes reports, and represents the libraries to the Central Office. Under a mandate from the Board of Trustees, the OLS offers cataloging services to the libraries through our Technical Processing Center.
